Drinking in the Liquor store ?

These mini Caesars look yummy. Especially when their free samples!
Well, they say free, but when your paying $40 for the bottle
of vodka, that's an expensive free sample! Thanks CC for the picture!

Breakfast, lunch or dinner!

The Caesar is a unique cocktail. Invented in 1969 by a bartender in Calgary, Alberta, the drink is easily the undisputed national cocktail of Canada.

The story goes.....To commemorate the opening of a new restaurant, the Calgary Westin Hotel sponsored a contest to develop a new cocktail. Up to the challenge, bartender Walter Chell spent months perfecting the combination of tomato juice, clam nectar, lime, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt and vodka to win the contest. Not long after, the Motts company worked with Chell to release what is now sold as Clamato juice.

Equally as important as the core ingredients, and some would say more important, is the garnish. Spicy beans, celery sticks, pickles, olives, asparagus, jalapeno peppers, prawns all contribute to make each Caesar unique. Don't forget the Tabasco or Horseradish.

So in your standard Caesar, after you rim the glass with celery salt, add Vodka, Clamato juice, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco or Horseradish and lots of garnish. In the morning I prefer a nice celery stick or two. For Lunch and dinner anything goes.
